Geonasium partners with local governments, councils, and state agencies across Australia to deliver evidence-informed health and wellbeing programs directly into communities.

We meet people where they are: parks, schools, workplaces, and community halls. No expensive infrastructure. No barriers. Just real, measurable outcomes.

Aligned with Australia’s Health Policy Agenda

Geonasium programs are designed to deliver measurable outcomes against Australia’s national health and physical activity frameworks. Partnering with Geonasium helps government agencies demonstrate progress against key funding commitments and community health targets.

Our programs align with the following national strategies and frameworks:

  • National Preventive Health Strategy 2021-2030: reducing chronic disease through physical activity and healthier community environments

  • Active Aging Strategy 2023-2028: supporting healthy, independent aging through movement in accessible community settings

  • Australian Sports Commission Sport 2030: community activation and grassroots participation aligned with Australia’s national sport vision

  • Closing the Gap Priority Reforms: culturally safe physical wellbeing programs supporting Priority Reforms 2 and 4 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

  • National Sport and Physical Activity Framework: outdoor, accessible, infrastructure-free delivery that meets communities where they are

  • Australia’s Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines: evidence-based programs meeting national benchmark recommendations for all age groups

We can provide a Policy Alignment Mapping document upon request, showing how Geonasium program outcomes map to your specific funding framework, grant criteria, or community health strategy.

The Economic Case for Investment

Physical inactivity costs Australia an estimated $13.8 billion annually in healthcare expenditure and lost productivity (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare). Government investment in community physical activity programs consistently delivers measurable returns that extend well beyond participant health outcomes.

  • Social Return on Investment of $4 to $7 for every $1 invested in structured physical activity programs

  • Zero infrastructure costs: Geonasium delivers sessions using existing community spaces and outdoor environments

  • Scalable delivery: programs can be replicated across multiple local government areas with minimal additional cost

  • Measurable health outcomes: pre and post program data collection tracks improvements in cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and participant wellbeing scores

  • Reduced long-term healthcare burden: participants moving from sedentary to active lifestyles reduce their risk of chronic disease by up to 35%

  • Community cohesion dividends: group fitness programs build social connection, reducing isolation and improving mental health outcomes across all demographics

Geonasium provides government partners with transparent reporting against agreed KPIs, making it straightforward to demonstrate program value to community stakeholders and treasury departments. Our model is designed from the outset to meet the accountability standards required for continued and expanded public investment.

Structured Partnership Models

Geonasium offers four structured engagement pathways designed to meet government partners at whatever stage of commitment makes sense for their community and budget cycle. Each model is built for accountability, with defined deliverables, reporting milestones, and KPI frameworks aligned to Australian Government health outcome measures.

  • 4-Week Community Activation: an introductory program delivered across 8 sessions to establish baseline fitness levels, build participant confidence, and identify priority community health needs. Includes pre and post participant assessments and a summary report for council.

  • 8-Week Health Promotion Program: a mid-length engagement suited to targeting specific population groups including older adults, CALD communities, or residents with chronic health conditions. Includes fortnightly progress check-ins, session attendance tracking, and a full program evaluation report.

  • 12-Week Embedded Wellbeing Program: a comprehensive quarterly engagement that integrates Geonasium into the fabric of community life. Includes multi-site delivery, demographic-specific programming, monthly KPI reports, and a full SROI analysis upon completion.

  • Ongoing Strategic Partnership: a long-term arrangement for government bodies committed to sustained community health improvement. Includes an embedded Geonasium coordinator, annual program design, continuous data collection, quarterly reporting, and representation at community health planning forums.

All partnership models report against a standard KPI framework covering participation numbers, demographic reach, session completion rates, health outcome indicators, and participant satisfaction scores. Data is collected at every session and compiled into reports that meet the standards required for Local Government Annual Report inclusion and state agency grant acquittals.
